Congratulations to the 2009 Youth Trainee Program!

These eleven young dancers performed like true professionals at the For the Cause 2009 performance. They came from all areas of the Chicagoland- Schaumburg, Des Plaines, Libertyville, Winnetka, and more! Lighting up the stage in YTP Director, Cecilia Ferguson-Bell’s enchanting piece “ex • pan • sion”, these girls will again get the opportunity to perform with the Inaside company on November 21, 2009. Inaside brings their entire production of For the Cause to Kane County. Please visit the EVENTS page for more details.

INASIDE YOUTH TRAINEE PROGRAM

This intense program offers an amazing opportunity to 10 aspiring dancers selected from across the Chicagoland area. Starting in August these youth dancers will train for six weeks with YTP Director, Cecilia Ferguson-Bell and Inaside Ballet Mistress, Anna Czajun. Along with this remarkable training these dancers will have an original work set on them by the YTP Director. This piece will be the youth dancer’s professional debut when they take the stage with Inaside Chicago Dance in their annual benefit concert, "For the Cause."

GERALDINE M. VITACCA SHOLARSHIP FUND

» HOW TO BECOME A SCHOLARSHIP FUND DONOR
» 2007-2008 SCHOLARSHIP FUND DONORS

Gerry Vitacca, mother of Founding Artistic Director Kelly Ann Vitacca, unconditionally supported her daughter’s dance aspirations from childhood to university, and throughout her professional career. Gerry cherished Inaside Chicago Dance and its company members, donating to the company from its inception until her recent passing. In her memory, Inaside has established the Geraldine M. Vitacca Scholarship Fund. One scholarship will be awarded annually to a member of the Youth Trainee Program (YTP) who is a graduating high school senior pursuing the art of dance in college. The primary goal is to make aspiring artists’ dreams come true, just as Gerry did for Ms. Kelly Ann Vitacca and Inaside Chicago Dance.

Congratulations to the first recipient of this award, Elena Caruthers!
Elena will be attending Hope College in the fall to study dance and chemistry.
We wish her the best of luck in all her endeavors!
